School-Based Enterprise Week celebrates our favorite on-campus shops, and I've compiled some ways we can show love to our school stores this upcoming School-Based Enterprise Week!
1. Participate in the #DECASBEWeek2025 Social Media Challenge
Show your school store pride by showing all the amazing features that make your School-Based Enterprise unique by participating in the SBE Week Social Media Challenge. Each day, there are different prompts that you can use to create a memorable and fun week for everyone at your school. And make sure to post all of your SBE Week celebrations using #DECASBEWeek2025 to share with the whole DECA community.
- Monday (Sept. 29): Best Seller Showcase
- Tuesday (Sept. 30): Customer Appreciation
- Wednesday (Oct. 1): SBE Showcase
- Thursday (Oct. 2): Best Marketing Campaign
- Friday (Oct. 3): Team Appreciation
2. Decorate Your Storefront
Nothing says celebration more than revamping your School Store's aesthetic to match this special occasion. Whether it is adding some streamers or creating posters to show school spirit, decoration is a great way to celebrate SBE week while also creating a bonding activity for your school's SBE Team. This is also a fantastic way to channel your creativity and design skills in the spirit of the marketing aspect of DECA, and I promise other students will take notice.
3. Create a Promotion
Following the subtle marketing aspects of the previous activity, another effective way to get the whole school involved in SBE Week is to host a promotion for some of your best-selling items. This could be either a sale or a special marketing plan. Either way, it is a valuable learning experience for team members, as well as a great way to increase sales and attract new customers. Promoting your best products is a guaranteed fun and interactive way to celebrate SBE week and show your customers some love!
4. Collaborate with Other Clubs at Your School
SBE Week is the perfect opportunity to collaborate with other school organizations and create something new. Whether this be a joint fundraising event or a team member swap, collaboration is the key to finding innovative ideas. It is also an opportunity to get more of the student body involved in SBE Week.
Some ideas for club collaborations include creating club merchandise that can be sold at the school-based enterprise, hosting a joint fundraising event, and having club members “swap jobs” to better understand what it takes to run a school-based enterprise.
No matter how you choose to celebrate SBE Week, make sure to have fun and share your experiences using #DECASBEWeek2025. Happy School-Based Enterprise Week!
