What is DECA Month?
DECA Month is a yearly tradition celebrated throughout November. It is one of the most exciting times of the year for DECA members, featuring association fall leadership conferences, themed chapter meetings and The Ultimate DECA Power Trip in Arlington, Virginia. With so much happening, there is no shortage of ways to show your DECA pride. The best way to join the celebration is by participating in the #DECAMonth Social Media Challenge!
The #DECAMonth Social Media Challenge
The #DECAMonth Social Media Challenge is a series of daily prompts released at the beginning of the month (so TODAY!) to encourage members to share their “DECA Why.” Each day features a new theme, from highlighting your first days as a member to showcasing your DECA glass, giving every member the chance to share their unique DECA story.
How to Participate
Posting daily might sound like a lot, but with a little planning, it is completely manageable and fun. Begin by reviewing the list of prompts and selecting the ones that inspire you the most. You don't have to post every single day to make an impact; even a few thoughtful posts can authentically share your DECA journey.
If you want to post daily, stay organized by planning. Set aside time at the beginning of each week to draft captions, gather photos or videos and schedule your posts. Consistency is key because it keeps your audience engaged and shows your ongoing commitment to DECA.
Why You Should Join In
Participating in the #DECAMonth Social Media Challenge is not just about posting; it is about sharing what makes DECA meaningful to you.
