DECA’s new partner, the International Franchise Foundation (IFA Foundation) has been at the forefront of serving the franchising community and supporting the mission of the International Franchise Association.
The IFA Foundation will award one $3,000 scholarship plus a $1,500 travel stipend to IFA’s Convention in 2024 to DECA members with a major or career interest in one or more of these areas of study: business, finance, marketing, food service, hospitality, franchising or entrepreneurship.
Scholarship applications can be accessed through the student member portal at www.deca.org/register and by clicking Apply for Scholarships.
In addition to filling out the scholarship application in the portal, students will need to email the following to whitney@deca.org with the subject line Doc Cohen Scholarship:
- Business plan (up to 10 pages) on a franchise concept you would seek to own. Submissions should include a title page with your name, chapter/school, state, and name/title of your concept or plan
- Official transcript
The completed package must be received by April 7, 2023.
