DECA Recognizes Jerry DiGiovanni with Honorary Life Membership

Mr. Jerry R. DiGiovanni graduated from Norristown Area High School in 1985, where he served as president of his high school's DECA chapter. After graduation, Jerry attended Villanova University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and served as the president of The Accounting Society. He later attended Temple University, earning a Master's Degree in Education.

Jerry began his professional career as an auditor with KPMG/Arthur Andersen LLC in Philadelphia, PA. Jerry was an active and successful private real estate investor and later worked for Berkshire Hathaway Home Services.

Through the years, Jerry remained active in DECA as a volunteer, and in 2002, he was named the Executive Director of Pennsylvania DECA. During two decades of service as Executive Director, Jerry displayed unwavering kindness, support and enthusiasm for the student members and advisors of Pennsylvania DECA. His commitment and mentorship made an incredible impact on thousands of students in the state. Under Jerry's leadership, Pennsylvania DECA experienced unprecedented growth and student involvement.

Jerry always had a special place in his heart for Pennsylvania DECA. He listed the association as a significant beneficiary to his estate, and the funds will be used to establish the Jerry R. DiGiovanni Pennsylvania DECA Endowment Fund. The endowment will be utilized to provide collegiate scholarships and financial assistance for students to attend association and international conferences.
