Power Up Your Chapter: A Guide to DECA’s Chapter Campaigns

From connecting with community members to rallying school spirit, chapter campaigns are one of the most powerful ways DECA members can make an impact. DECA’s chapter campaigns are all about your chapter. But, more than that, it’s a time to share DECA's impact on your chapter with others.  

DECA offers five different campaigns, so let’s dive into which campaign may best fit your chapter.

Community Service Campaign

Are you a member who loves to give back to your community? If so, this is the perfect event for you and your chapter. Think about this campaign as an opportunity to go into your community and make meaningful connections with neighbors who want you to succeed. For example, you could rake leaves for elderly neighbors or make handmade dog toys for your local animal rescue. Remember that 75% of your chapter needs to participate and include a promotional piece, such as a flyer. This chapter campaign is due December 1st.

Innovations and Entrepreneurship Campaign

Are you the entrepreneur of your friend group, one who loves to think outside the box? If so, check out this chapter campaign. In this campaign, you can dive deeper into a successful business near you. Connect with your local community by interviewing three business owners. Then, it’s time to put your project manager’s hat on and create a detailed profile of each person. Just make sure that 75% of your chapter is participating to be recognized. This chapter campaign is due December 1st.

Membership Campaign

Just like a business, DECA is always looking to expand its impact. Whether expanding student membership, alumni memberships or professional memberships, this is your chance to be recognized. Recognition will be automatically awarded based on submissions to the membership portal. This chapter campaign is due December 1st.

Promotional Campaign

If you’re the creator of your friend group, check out the promotional campaign. We all know that DECA has impacted us in different ways. Members can agree that their leadership has improved, public speaking has been enhanced and critical thinking has been sharpened. Now, it’s your turn to share that impact with your community. Take time to reach out within your school and community through promotional material of your choice. This chapter campaign is due December 1st.

Advocacy Campaign

February is CTE month and the perfect time to tell your DECA story. Share how DECA has shaped you with your school, policymakers and community. This is your moment to show what makes DECA, DECA! This chapter campaign is due March 2nd.
