‍Discussion Questions:

1. Why can clicking “I agree” to an app’s Terms & Conditions create a legally binding agreement?

2. What information should consumers look for before agreeing to a digital service contract?

3. If a user does not read the Terms & Conditions, should they still be responsible for charges or other obligations they agreed to? Why or why not?

4. What could companies do to make digital contracts clearer and easier for consumers to understand before they agree?

Lesson Plan / Classroom Activity

🔔 Start by watching the DECA at the Bell Episode | Terms & Conditions, which was released on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

📲 Picture this: you download a trending gaming app suggested by your peers and instantly accept the Terms & Conditions without taking time to review it, only to realize later that a recurring payment was drawn from your account.
