At the Missouri Regional meeting in September, the Saline County Career Center DECA chapter was awarded and recognized with a 100+ Chapter member banner for 2023 membership. Missouri DECA awards chapters that gain 100 or more members via student, alumni, and professional membership to encourage membership throughout Missouri. SCCC DECA had 103 members by the end of the school year. It is the first time the chapter has earned recognition.

DECA is a national organization that prepares high school students for careers in marketing, management, entrepreneurship, hospitality and tourism, personal financial literacy and finance. Saline County Career Center’s DECA chapter offers students a variety of opportunities to learn about business and to develop their leadership skills.
