Not Going to ICDC? No Problem!

Mar 3, 2023

Many DECA members across the world are unable to attend the International Career Development Conference each year, but there are various ways to stay engaged and involved on a chapter, association and executive level, even if you are unable to attend ICDC. Here are a few ways to Get the Edge in the next few months!

1. Host a Chapter Social Event

One way you can stay involved is by hosting chapter events! It could be anything from a movie night to a sundae social, connecting with other members within your chapter can help you stay involved throughout the next few months.

2. Mock Competitions

Hosting a mock competition can help you improve your skills! Practicing in the next few months will give you a competitive edge for next year. This is also a great time to try new events. Maybe you will find an event that will trigger a passion for a career!

3. Plan for Next Year

It’s never too early to start planning for your success for the next year! Start charting your goals, and how you plan to achieve them. Start to brainstorm things that you would like to do or accomplish in the near future.
