2020-2021 IMPACT Program Winners Announced

Apr 20, 2021

The 2020-2021 IMPACT Program awards were announced during the Virtual DECA ICDC  Association Officer Leadership Retreat.

The Impact Award program is an annual tradition that recognizes the dedication and hard work of members and officers from various associations across our organization. The program was designed to encourage chartered association officer teams to plan and develop innovative and impactful association-wide programs, which encourage their members to increase the net impact of their efforts around specific DECA related categories. Every year, outgoing association officer teams are recommended to create either a video or poster that compiles their association’s efforts and highlights exceptional chapter or association programs.

This year, we saw the numerous impressive ways officers pioneered their efforts in a year filled with unforeseen challenges through a stellar 37 submissions! Congratulations to the 13 Chartered Associations Officer Teams for submitting entries to showcase the impact they made in their respective associations.

The IMPACT Program has five categories for recognition: Advocacy, Community Outreach, Membership, Partner/Sponsor Outreach and Innovations.

Congratulations to the following associations on earning the Greatest IMPACT Award in each category!

The Diamond Award, awarded to the region who had the greatest overall impact and submissions, goes to the Central Region with a total of 21 submissions!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2020-2021 IMPACT Program. Despite the challenges, this year’s submissions show the great impact members can have on our schools, communities, and in our organization. We encourage you all to continue your influential endeavors into next school year and participate in next year’s IMPACT Program. On behalf of the executive officers, we give a special thank you to the members of the President’s Council who volunteered their time to evaluate the submissions!
