Collegiate DECA 2020 Virtual Case Simulation Competition Winners

Nearly 100 Collegiate DECA members participated in the Collegiate DECA Virtual Case Simulation competition, sponsored by long-time DECA partner, Knowledge Matters.

In this interactive, digital simulation, participants took on the role of Marketing Vice President for the DECA Hawks. Participants had full control of all the team’s marketing functions and team operations, and worked to build a winning record, good ticket prices, solid promotions and a mix of hot selling concerts throughout the season.

Congratulations to the top three winners, each who received cash awards courtesy of Knowledge Matters.

First Place - $500: Monish Jayakumar, University of Texas - Austin

Second Place - $250: Jonathan Zhou, University of Texas - Austin

Third Place - $100: Akhsheiy Tangutur, University of Texas - Austin

Randi Bibiano is DECA's competitive events specialist. In this role, she conceptualizes and authors role-play scenarios for the collegiate and high school division’s competitive events programs. She also manages DECA's online competitive events and serves as a liaison to volunteer efforts at DECA's educational conferences.
