Collegiate DECA is more than competitions, conferences, and leadership. It is a community of students who are constantly creating new ideas and sharing their experiences. Our members have the opportunity to help tell that story by joining the Collegiate DECA Content Creation Team!
The Content Creation Team allows members to showcase their creativity, develop their social media and communication skills, and create content that connects Collegiate DECA members internationally. Whether you have experience creating content or are looking to grow your skills, this team offers an opportunity to make an impact in a learning-focused environment.
What Does the Content Creation Team Do?
Content creators will help develop and share engaging content for Collegiate DECA's social media platforms. From Instagram Reels to TikToks, team members will have the opportunity to highlight Collegiate DECA experiences, promote programs and events, and create content that members want to see.
Team Expectations
Members selected for the Content Creation Team will be expected to:
- Be a fully registered, dues-paying Collegiate DECA member.
- Have an Instagram account. Your account must be public to be eligible, but it does not have to be a Collegiate DECA account.
- Understand the basic concepts and skills of content creation for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
- Demonstrate professional communication skills, including appropriate messaging, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Create a Content Creation Calendar and share it with Myles and Maddie.
- Post at least twice a month.
- Follow DECA Inc. branding guidelines when creating content.
- Receive approval from an Executive Officer before posting Collegiate DECA-related content.
- Attend once-a-month meetings with Myles and Maddie.
- Include “Collegiate DECA Content Creation Team” in your Instagram bio.

Applications will be submitted through a Google Form and will include:
- A one-page resume.
- Explain why you are interested in becoming a Content Creator for Collegiate DECA.
- Previous content creation experience, including examples of your work when possible.
- A link to your Instagram account so we can review your content and ensure it is appropriate for representing Collegiate DECA.
- An explanation of how you plan to stay organized and on track with the expectation of posting twice per month.
