DECA is full of amazing members who accomplish incredible things. So why not shine a spotlight on the activities of your chapter? DECA's Ambassador Program is our opportunity to hear from you and your opportunity to share your ideas with the DECA world.
Who can be an Ambassador?
We’re looking for DECA Ambassadors from all areas of DECA including student members and advisors from both the high school and collegiate divisions. We encourage each chapter and association to appoint an ambassador—perhaps your vice president of communications or a similar role. Ideal Ambassadors are enthusiastic, engaged in their local chapter, and have a passion for storytelling. Members must have the permission of their chapter advisor to apply.
What are the benefits of serving as an Ambassador?
As a DECA Ambassador, you get to be in the spotlight! Your articles and stories will be featured on DECA Direct Online, in DECA Direct Weekly emails and on @decainc's social channels. Stand-out ambassadors will also have the opportunity to be part of special teams at DECA conferences and events and receive other benefits.
What is the role of an Ambassador?
DECA Ambassadors will share the cool things happening in your chapter or association by writing short articles and blog posts. Suggested topics include chapter happenings, how your chapter conducted a successful fundraiser, secrets to membership recruitment, advocacy activities, outstanding local partnerships with businesses and so much more! We'll also share a monthly list of suggested topics. Ambassadors are expected to contribute at least one article per month and be active on social media.
But it's not just talented writers who can apply – depending on your skills, you may participate by sharing photos, staring in TikToks, developing graphics and creating Canva templates, or by amplifying DECA's reach on social media. Be sure to let us know your skills when you apply!
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
