Nashville Awaits: Explore the #DECAICDC 2020 Attractions

DECA is pleased to announce the 2020 DECA International Career Development Conference attractions to help you make the most of your time in Nashville.

Tickets will go on sale at 12:00 Noon EST on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.

Quantities are limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. The deadline to pre-order tickets, if still available, is 12:00 Noon EST on Friday, April 17, 2020. Any remaining tickets will be available on-site while quantities remain.


General Jackson Showboat

Cost: $50 per attendee

When:

  • Wednesday, April 29, 2020 | 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 29, 2020 | 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 30, 2020 | 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 30, 2020 | 9:00 – 11:00 p.m.
  • Friday, May 1, 2020 | 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
  • Friday, May 1, 2020 | 9:00 – 11:00 p.m.

A true Music City icon, the General Jackson is an authentic 300-foot-long paddle-wheel riverboat that floats along the Cumberland River in Nashville. The 90-minute exclusive DECA excursion will feature a DJ as well as a buffet of pizza, hoagie style sandwiches, buffalo wings, chicken fingers, chips, pretzels, chocolate chip cookies, fruit punch and soft drinks. With boarding time, please allow two hours for this event.

Limited to 1,000 each cruise.

DECA does not provide transportation. Attendees cannot use the DECA ICDC shuttle transportation to the Opryland hotels if they are not staying at the Opryland hotels.


DECA Night at the Nashville Zoo

Cost: $50 per attendee

When: Thursday, April 30, 2020 | 6:00 – 10:00 p.m.

Take a walk on Music City’s wilder side during DECA Night at the Nashville Zoo. Animals such as the white-cheeked gibbon, white rhinoceros, Sumatran tiger, zebra, Andean bear, and masai giraffe will be on exhibit until dusk (approximately 7:30 p.m.). A DJ, rides, activities and more will be going on all night! Your ticket also includes a buffet of hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, chips, assorted cookies and brownies, assorted sodas and bottled water.

Optional Transportation: $20 per attendee wristband from your hotel to the Nashville Zoo and back to your hotel.


DECA Night at the Grand Ole Opry House

Cost: $50 per attendee

When:

  • Thursday, April 30, 2020 | 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, April 30, 2020 | 9:30 – 11:00 p.m.

DECA will host an exclusive night at the Grand Ole Opry House showcasing the Opry show as we know it. Featuring a dynamic lineup of a variety of artists on each show, see why the Grand Ole Opry is “the show that made country music famous.” Unlike a typical concert, the Opry gives the audience a sample of several artists’ musical style featuring legends, contemporary artists and newcomers. Limited to 4,400 each show.

Optional Transportation: $18 per attendee wristband from your hotel to the Grand Ole Opry and back to your hotel.

DECA Exclusive Concert

Cost: $50 per attendee

When: Friday, May 1, 2020

You won’t want to miss the popular DECA concert that’s only available to conference attendees! Previous headliners have included Andy Grammer, Lady Antebellum, Eli Young Band, Brett Eldredge and Easton Corbin. This year’s talent will be announced on DECA Direct Online in the coming months.

The DECA Exclusive Concert tentatively planned for either the Bridgestone Arena at 8:30 p.m., or two shows will be held in the Music City Center Grand Ballroom at 7:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. DECA will sell only 10,000 tickets (5,000 each show) until the Bridgestone Arena is the confirmed venue. DECA’s ICDC shuttle transportation will extend through the concert.


Ticket pick up hours and locations are on the ICDC agenda and will be included in your confirmation e-mail. DECA Inc. does not recognize or accept any responsibility for tours arranged through travel agents or individuals. DECA’s official tours are promoted and sold only through DECA Inc. All tours are subject to change or cancellation at any time. Pre-orders must be paid in full when tickets are picked up or a credit card, check or cash payment will be necessary. Due to the limited number of quantities available, there will be no refunds.
