Why You NEED to be in Baltimore this November

On Friday November 16, thousands of DECA members from the North Atlantic and Southern Regions will be gathering for the Ultimate DECA Power Trip. From the delicious food to great networking opportunities, these are just a few reasons why you and your chapter should make your way to Baltimore this November.

Connect Leadership Labs

Ever wonder what it be like to learn from fellow Association Officer Teams? During the Connect Leadership Labs, Association Officer Teams host workshops for members to interact and learn from some of DECA’s most experienced leaders. The Connect Leadership Labs offer an opportunity to connect with other leaders, discover new ideas and practices, and most importantly have fun.

Learning Labs

Designed to engage DECA members and focus on specific aspects of college and career readiness, DECA’s Learning Labs allows you to create your own itinerary to be truly #ReadyforIt! Each lab is related to preparing for college, choosing a career pathway, developing your DECA chapter and becoming a better competitor.

Competitive Excellence Experience

Are you ready this year to make it to the ICDC stage and earn the coveted DECA Glass? The Competitive Excellence Experience gives you the chance to compete in front of a real judge and receive useful feedback on your roleplay skills. This highly valuable experience gives you a space to hone your skills for the upcoming competition year to earn your spot at this year’s ICDC in Orlando, FL!

DECA After DARK

After an extensive day of learning labs hosted by industry professionals, join Rachel and Dylan during DECA after Dark. This is the time to kick back, network, and have fun at one of Baltimore’s most popular attractions! There are more than 750 species to discover, including jellyfish, starfish and horseshoe crabs. End your experience with sounds from a DJ near the Jellies Invasion.

Explore Baltimore

Did you know Francis Scott Key wrote the “Star Spangled Banner” right outside the city? Or legendary athletes, Michael Phelps and Babe Ruth, both hailed from this city? Baltimore is booming with history and famous attractions just waiting for you to explore. Catch a baseball game at Oriole Park or hear a spooky tale on a Baltimore Ghost Tour! Your adventure does not stop after sessions are over. Explore Baltimore!

This conference is definitely one you do not want to miss. It is designed to spark curiosity, champion your inner emerging leader, and gain invaluable knowledge about potential college or career paths. What are you waiting for? Join us this November in Baltimore for the ULTIMATE DECA Power Trip!
