The Spring 2019 Piper Jaffray Teen Opinion Survey Is Now Open

The DECA/Piper Jaffray Teen Opinion Survey is an exciting teaching/learning opportunity for DECA members and advisors. Both the survey and the survey report are dynamic tools that illustrate how marketing research is compiled, applied and consumed.

It is also a great way to engage your classes in an independent applied learning activity that illustrates the importance of marketing research.

The insights derived from this project drive capital and investment decisions for some of the world’s most recognizable brands in every sector.

At this time last year, your students reported that:

  • Athletic spending was hitting an all-time high
  • Beauty spending and prioritization was at an all-time high
  • Video game spending was tracking well ahead of multi-year average
  • Food was a source of entertainment
  • Social media engagement was migrating to video and photo-dominant platforms
