Lyman Hall DECA Promotes School Spirit Through Its SBE

Here at Lyman Hall DECA, school spirit is extremely important to us. Our student section is called the WOB MOB, which stands for White Orange and Blue, our school colors.

It was created with the help of one of our most popular teachers, Mr. Walz, who is dedicated to making us a school full of Lyman Hall pride. This year we have been able to get many new fans to come out and support our football and basketball teams, and even the swim meets.

As a student section, we come up with themes and fun activities to engage our student body to come out and support their fellow classmates. At every basketball game, there is a “Fan of the Game,” who gets to shoot free shots at half time in order to win prizes. I just happened to be the fan of the game on my birthday this past Friday, and it was an amazing experience.

In our School-based Enterprise, Packy’s, we honor a “Fan of the Week” who has shown the most spirit this past week. We also just introduced our WOB MOB apparel that comes in both long sleeve tees and hoodies. They have been a hit with the students, and it’s a fun way to bring more customers down to Packy’s!
