Support MDA and the Powerful, One-Night Documentary, “I’ll Push You”

As you know, DECA has been supporting MDA for over 35 years and we’re proud of all we do in the fight to fund research and services. We wanted to share a unique opportunity for you to support MDA and be empowered by someone living with a neuromuscular disease, Justin Skeesuck.

Over the past 20+ years, a progressive neuromuscular disease has slowly taken away Justin Skeesuck’s ability to use his arms and legs. From each morning until night, Justin requires daily assistance in every aspect of life such as eating, getting dressed, bathing and even using the restroom.

So when Justin Skeesuck asked his lifelong friend, Patrick, what he thought about helping him tackle the 500-mile-long Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain, Patrick’s response was simple and direct. Ill push you,” he said.

Justin and Patrick have documented every step of this journey – and their 42 year-long friendship – in a book and film, both entitled “I’ll Push You,” and they have partnered with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) to bring their story to the big screen in a one-night theatrical release in cinemas across the country on Thursday, November 2.

Find all theater locations and reserve your tickets today by clicking here.

Also, to celebrate their life-altering journey – and to support the research that is helping people with muscular dystrophy to exceed limits – Justin and Patrick are working to raise $25,000 for MDA research efforts. So if you are unable to attend the movie, you can still support in many ways including by sharing this inspiriting story with your family and friends, watching the trailer and making a donation.  If you’d like to make a donation, please do here.
