Johnson & Wales University Hosts 29th Annual Scholarship Breakfast at #DECAICDC 2017

Johnson & Wales University (JWU) welcomed DECA members and advisors to its 29th annual scholarship awards breakfast during DECA’s 2017 International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, Calif., on Friday, April 28.

The DECA members in attendance were students who had applied and were accepted to any of JWU’s campuses (Providence, R.I.; Charlotte, N.C.; North Miami, Fla.; and Denver, Colo.), received a DECA scholarship and had planned participation at #DECAICDC.

Helping students understand the connection between a college degree and career success is a primary goal of DECA’s Comprehensive Learning Program. JWU is proud to recognize students for their past DECA achievements at the breakfast, welcome them to DECA on the collegiate level, and provide an opportunity for students to meet future classmates.

JWU scholarships range from $1,000 up to full tuition and are renewable for up to four years. Last year, JWU awarded students more than 1,060 DECA scholarships totaling $6.7 million.

JWU has been a National Advisory Board (NAB) partner with DECA since 1981 and serves on DECA’ NAB Executive Committee.
