#CDECAICDC Raises Over $1,500 for MDA & DECA’s Scholarship Fund

The 2017 Collegiate DECA International Career Development Conference community service activity, the #CDECAICDC Game Night, took place after the opening session to help raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) and DECA’s scholarship fund.

The #CDECAICDC Game Night consisted of teams challenging each other in bean bag “corn hole” toss, Jenga, Ping Pong, Doubleshot Basketball and more. In addition to the Game Night, a miracle minute was done at the Preliminary Awards Session.

DECA is pleased to announce that this year’s activity raised $1,500!

Over 100 conference attendees participated in the #CDECAICDC Game Night and the entire conference generously supported the Miracle Minute during Saturday morning’s Preliminary Awards Session. Several of DECA’s corporate partners also attended and supported the events.

One of DECA’s instructional outcomes is for members to recognize the benefit of service and responsibility to the community. The #CDECAICDC community service activity supported this outcome by positively impacting many lives of the MDA community and DECA’s scholarship fund.

Thank you to everyone who supported the community service activity this year and making a difference.
