DECA High School Membership Continues to Be Strong

With more than 216,000 members registered as of today, DECA’s High School Division membership is trending well compared to this time last year.

While many associations have their own deadlines, please remember March 1, 2017, is the absolute deadline for competitor eligibility at the DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Anaheim. It’s also the day recognition at the ICDC will be determined.

Here are some chapter membership perks. The Leadership Luncheon will have a new format as a Leadership Recognition activity that will be shared with those invited to attend!

  • Be recognized as the largest chapter in your association. The chapter leading in membership as of March 1* in each association will be recognized during the Leadership Recognition activity at the DECA ICDC.
  • Be recognized as the chapter with the largest membership increase in your association. If you don’t have a large chapter, you can still earn recognition during the Leadership Recognition activity at the DECA ICDC by being the chapter in your association showing the largest membership increase on March 1*.
  • Be the largest DECA chapter in the world! Recruit students, alumni and professionals to earn the ultimate recognition: the largest DECA chapter in the world! The Top 10 DECA chapters as of March 1* will be recognized during the Leadership Recognition activity at the DECA ICDC.

*Consult your association advisor for guidelines for attending ICDC. Recognition at ICDC will be based on membership reports as of March 1, 2017. Final membership rankings will be based on membership reports as of June 30, 2017.
