The Creation of a Fashion Empire: FIDM Grad Octavius Terry

Sometimes in life you need a career change.

That was the case for Octavius Terry, who went from Olympic athlete to becoming a successful fashion designer, creating pieces for celebrities including Ariana Grande, Queen Latifah, Nick Cannon, and many more.

Octavius sat down with the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) to discuss how he started his collection, GROOM, a gentleman’s ready-to-wear brand.

A FIDM DEBUT 2013 Runway Show Graduate, Terry discussed how attending FIDM gave him the drive to pursue his line.

Learn more about his story by watching the video, part of FIDM’s “We Are FIDM” series.
