Here are some quick answers to frequently asked questions regarding DECA’s School-based Enterprises Chapter Certification Program.

sarah_williamsQ. When will the online submission platform for the School-based Enterprise Chapter Certification Program open?

A. The online submission platform will open on January 3, 2017, and will close on January 20, 2017. You can access the site at https://sbe.decaregistration.com.

Q. Last year, the guidelines only guaranteed the first 200 entries in each track to attend the SBE Academy at DECA’s International Career Development Conference. Is that true again for this year?

A. No.

Q. What changes are in place for this year?

A. You will be asked to report your gross sales for your SBE. You will also be asked to specify between food operations and retail operations, which is what your presentation entry will be in at the SBE Academy at ICDC. This is also how the certifications will be reported.
