The 2016 challenge encouraged students to reinvent plastic bottles into an original creation. Students collaborate in teams, create a product out of plastic bottles and pitch their invention in a brief video presentation.

The DECA Idea Challenge is a premier event of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) and highlight of GEW Youth – a celebration of the next generation of entrepreneurs through activities geared to help youth sharpen their skills and connect with potential mentors.

The competition encourages students to push aside fear, think outside the box and share their creation with the world! The imagination and resourcefulness needed to compete fosters an entrepreneurial mindset.
