4 Chapter Bonding Activities Perfect for #DECAMonth

DECA Month is finally here! It’s time to share your love and support for this amazing organization everywhere.
While many chapters only find time to bond during busy conferences or at stressful competition times, it is very important to bond all year long with your DECA family to create healthy friendships.
Here are few bonding ideas your chapter can do not only to brand DECA, but also have fun while doing it!
1. Movie Night
Whether you all go to the movie theatre or you decide to meet and have a backyard movie night, this is a perfect idea for your chapter. Grab some boxed movie candy, popcorn, and drinks, and watch an old classic or a new favorite.
2. Game Day
Gather all your board, card, and electronic games. Host a chapter game day event, and spend the day competing over something other than a financial role play. Have your officers sign up to bring chips, drinks, and some sweet treats, and spend the day battling in Just Dance or Monopoly.
3. Bonfire
If possible, host a DECA Bonfire. Members can bring camp chairs and their favorite snack to the event. Roast marshmallows and tell your favorite stories by the fire. This is an excellent event for chapter bonding, especially with cool fall weather.
4. Tailgate
Host a member tailgate for a sports event at your school. Grill out some dinner or set out snack foods. This is a great DECA Month activity with football season coming to an end soon!
Be sure to share your #DECAMonth chapter bonding activities on Twitter and Instagram with @DECAInc, and use #OwnYourFuture too!
