What Should You Bring to #DECACLA?
Did you know in just one month hundreds of Collegiate DECA members will be in The Big Apple for the 2016 Collegiate Leadership Academy?
Members will get to go behind the scenes of some of their favorite companies, network with industry leaders and fellow Collegiate DECA members, and experience the best that NYC has to offer!
Now with all that excitement, one may forget to pack some of the essentials, but have no fear because Cameron is here to help!
Check out these three things you definitely need to pack and bring to #DECACLA:
- Your DECA Blazer & Cool DECA T-shirts
How else are you going to stand out? My mama always told me to be the best, you always have to look the best, and let’s just say the DECA blazer is one fresh blazer. You want to dress business professional when going on your CLA tours. And hey you never know, you may be meeting your future bosses at one of our CLA stops! While walking around the city, make sure to have a fresh new t-shirt from DECA Images to help you stand out!
2. Warm clothes & Walkable Dress Shoes.
We will be in New York during the beginning of November, so yes it will be cold! Especially at night when you have the time to hit the town. Bring jackets and jeans – you wont regret it! Also, for one of the days we will be walking all over The Big Apple, so ladies please bring dress shoes you can walk in! Coats, scarves, gloves and hats are highly recommended too.
3. Big Appetite & A Sense of Adventure
I believe that New York has the best food around, from soft pretzels to pizza to street food, you must expect to gain a few pounds at #DECACLA! Plus, CLA gives you have free time every night, so think of some exciting new things your chapter can experience in NYC. Whether you hit up a Broadway play, see a new part of the city, or visit the Empire State Building at night, make sure to make the most of your time!
I know that the Executive Officer Team is excited for #DECACLA and we hope you are too! I hope this helps you bring everything you need and we will see you so soon.
