Stoughton DECA Visits Boston University School of Hospitality Administration

In June 2016, the Stoughton High School DECA chapter visited the Boston University School of Hospitality Administration (SHA).

The chapter, from nearby Stoughton, Mass., spent the morning with Assistant Dean Brian Shockley, Director of Student Services Abby Raspallo, and Director of Career Services Meredyth Thomas.

Students were able to learn about the hospitality industry’s global career opportunities in operations, sales, events, food and beverage, marketing, finance, asset management, and much more!

The day was wrapped up over lunch, chatting about the chapter’s success and students’ post-high school plans. SHA is always happy to welcome DECA students on campus to learn more about the hospitality industry and its bachelors program.

DECA students who are interested in the hospitality field can get a head start by checking out part-time jobs at local convention centers, caterers and event planners, restaurants, or hotels. Also, you can keep up with the latest hospitality news by following a few of our favorite industry resources.
