The Best Holiday Gift is a DECA Scholarship

What’s a better gift this holiday season than some money to pay for college? That’s right – nothing!

This year, DECA’s scholarship program will be providing over $300,000 in scholarships to high school and collegiate DECA members!

DECA’s corporate partners such as Journeys, Marriott, Otis Spunkmeyer and Walgreens, sponsor many of these merit-based scholarships.

Each individual scholarship ranges in value from $1,000 to $2,000. The best part is, you can apply for and receive more than one of these EPIC scholarships!

Applying for these scholarships is easy! Follow this link: and create an account to get started. You will be prompted to provide your information and then fill out as many applications as you can before the January 15 deadline.

Here are some tips for filling out the application:

  1. Apply for as many scholarships as you are eligible for! It will take time, but when you have thousands of dollars for tuition, it will be worth it.
  2. Take your time! Make sure each question is answered thoroughly and you complete every part of the application.
  3. Provide detail. Don’t cut your answers short and be sure to include as many examples of leadership and DECA involvement as possible. Fully explain your accomplishments so the individuals selecting the recipients can obtain a holistic view of you as a student and DECA member.
  4. Don’t be afraid to show off! This is your opportunity to show how much work you have put in to school and DECA and ultimately how you have impacted your peers as a leader. Be proud of what you have done and don’t leave anything out!

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to receive thousands of dollars for your college education!

Apply for a DECA scholarship by January 15, 2016, to take advantage of this EPIC chance to win the best holiday gift possible.
