SBE Chapter Certification Submissions Accepted Starting December 1

The School-based Enterprises Chapter Certification project deadline is approaching in just two months.

The final deadline for projects is Friday, January 15, 2016, at 11:59 PM EST.

This project is consistently growing in popularity among school-based enterprises (SBEs) for the opportunity it provides chapters to earn international recognition for excellence in SBE business operations, as well as the chance to compete with other SBEs at DECA's International Career Development Conference (ICDC).

However, due to increasing participation and space limitations at the conference, only 200 gold-certified or re-certified Retail Operations SBEs and 200 gold certified or re-certified Food Operations SBEs will be able to participate in the SBE competition at ICDC.

Should the numbers of gold-certified SBEs exceed that amount, competitors will be determined by the date and time their completed projects were submitted online, first come first served. (Note: participation in ICDC is optional – SBEs are welcome to pursue a certification whether or not they plan to attend the conference.)

The submission website will be open for project submissions starting on December 1, 2015, at 12:00 PM EST. Chapters are encouraged to submit their projects earlier than the January deadline to secure their spot at ICDC.
