How Will You Celebrate #DECAMonth this Year?

It’s almost that time on the year again…#DECAMonth!

With November approaching quickly, how is your chapter gearing up to celebrate?

First, be sure to be following the hashtag #DECAMonth on social media. This will allow you and your chapter to see what other chapters are doing across the country.

Twitter, Facebook and Instagram are all great ways you and your chapter can promote what you are doing to celebrate #DECAMonth and connect with other chapters about ideas!

Here are some tips on how you and your chapter can celebrate:

  • Hold a fundraiser! Bake sales and car washes will not only help your chapter earn money, but also promote #DECAMonth and could interest students on your campus about joining.
  • Connect with other chapter around your area. Hold a social with other chapters so that you get to network and celebrate at the same time.
  • Put on a mini #DECAMonth competition with other chapter in your area. This can help you prepare for the 2016 Collegiate DECA International Career Development Conference and it is a great way to celebrate what DECA is all about.
  • Be sure to invited DECA alumni to celebrate with you as well!

Don’t forget to check DECA Direct Online in the next few weeks for the #DECAMonth Photo Challenge calendar! Your chapter is encouraged to post a photo that corresponds with the daily theme every day in November using #DECAMonth! Can you complete all 30 challenges?

No matter what you decide to do, make sure you are posting all of your events and activities on all social media so that you can share your experience with all of Collegiate DECA!

If you need more ideas on how to celebrate, be sure to follow the #DECAMonth hashtag to discover what chapters around the world are doing.

DECA is excited to see how you decide to celebrate!
