DECA Alumni: Connect with DECA and ICDC

The DECA and Collegiate DECA International Career Development Conferences are almost here!

ICDC is not only the highlight event of the year for our members, but also provides many ways for alumni to connect and engage with DECA.

Community Oriented

The 2015 Collegiate DECA ICDC MDA Fun Walk and the 2015 Finish Line/DECA Dash 5K Fun Run/Walk are both exciting ways for the DECA community to get competitive and support MDA. The 2015 Collegiate DECA ICDC MDA Fun Walk will take place on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at 4:30 p.m., at the Caribe Royale Walking Track, in Orlando, Fla.

The 2015 Finish Line/DECA Dash 5K Fun Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at 7:00 a.m. at the Orange County Convention Center on Orlando. Both events will raise funds for DECA’s Scholarship Program and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Even if you cannot make one of the races, we encourage you to go online and pledge your support.

Experienced Leaders

DECA’s Executive Mentor Program is a signature event of DECA’s corporate board, a highlight of #DECAICDC and the centerpiece of DECA’s youth leadership development programs. Matching DECA seniors with an elite group of corporate executives, the Executive Mentor Program allows students to learn from high-level executives about their transitions from high school to college or the workforce. If you will be in the Orlando area on April 25 and 26, click here to register as a mentor. If not, encourage an executive you know to join us!

Professionally Responsible

Our International Career Development Conferences bring DECA and Collegiate DECA’s top members to compete for the title of international champion. Sit across from our emerging leaders and hear their presentations first-hand as you help to select our next champions. There are judging opportunities for the Collegiate DECA ICDC on Monday, April 20, and at the high school conference on Monday, April 27. Click here to register to judge. If you are not in the Orlando area, connect with your colleagues and encourage them to donate their time to DECA.

Academically Prepared

Thanks to the support of our amazing partners and alumni, DECA will award over $300,000 in scholarships during  ICDC's. You can help support our scholarship program, and Connect Where You Are, through a tax-deductible donation.

There many ways for you to connect with DECA in Orlando next month, no matter where you live! Please contact Nick Edwards with questions on how to engage.
