NSHSS Scholarship Now Open to DECA Advisors
In partnership with DECA, the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) has established a Claes Nobel Educator Leadership Award to recognize the outstanding contributions of DECA advisors who consistently demonstrate their commitment to preparing students for success in college and in life. This award program is dedicated to recognize outstanding DECA Advisors who model best practices in teaching, are role models among their peers, and demonstrate outstanding leadership and excellence in education.
The vision for the Claes Nobel Educator Leadership Award follows the Nobel family tradition of recognizing world class individuals and DECA’s long-standing tradition of preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for successful futures. Claes Nobel co-founded NSHSS in 2002 with James W. Lewis, and is senior member of the family that established the Nobel Prizes.
A total of two (2) awards of $1,000 will be awarded and presented to DECA advisors at the DECA International Career Development Conference, April 25-28, 2015, in Orlando, Florida.
The Selection Committee is comprised of DECA and NSHSS leaders, NSHSS Claes Nobel Educators of Distinction, and invited leaders in education.
Eligible candidates must be active DECA Advisors currently offering direct instruction at a public or private school in the United States or abroad.
