Leadership Passport Program Check-In

Have you been keeping up with the Collegiate DECA Leadership Passport Program? The deadline to submit isn’t until March 3, 2015, but it’s important to start preparing it now and keep up your progress until then.

There are two variations of the Leadership Passport Program:

  • Individual Passport Program
  • Chapter Passport Program

The Leadership Passport Program encourages local chapters and individual members to plan activities and participate in events that enhance the experiences of members. The program rewards actions taken by members and chapters that build personal and professional skill sets focused around the organization’s four principle attributes and values: Competence, Innovation, Integrity, and Teamwork.

Members and chapters that earn the various levels of Passport success will be recognized at the International Career Development Conference in Orlando, Fla., next spring.

Here are three tips to make sure you’re on top of the Leadership Passport Program:

  1. Familiarize yourself with the passport, and be aware of its requirements and deadlines. Check out the links below for help.
    1. Individual Passport Award
    2. Chapter Passport Award
  2. Plan accordingly by getting your chapter officers together and mapping out events and activities for the entire semester. Make sure to take plenty of pictures at theses events and write up a summary afterwards!
  3. Figure out who is going to write up the actual report and fact check with the officers. Then when it’s all done, take the report to a printer and get it professionally printed and bound.

I hope these tips will help you and your chapter get on the right track to achieving the Leadership Passport Program and being on stage at the 2015 Collegiate DECA ICDC!
