Drexel University’s Center for Hospitality & Sport Management Joins DECA’s National Advisory Board

DECA is pleased to announce that Drexel University’s Center for Hospitality and Sport Management has joined its National Advisory Board.

Drexel’s Center for Hospitality and Sport Management offers programs in hospitality management, culinary arts, food science and sport management. Graduates are prepared for the many facets of the tourism industry including: travel, lodging, restaurants, food, gaming, sports, entertainment and meetings.

“We are excited to partner with DECA and the outstanding students involved with the organization,” said Jonathan Deutsch, Ph.D., professor and founding director of Center for Hospitality and Sport Management. “Like DECA, Drexel prides itself on developing the next generation of industry leaders and entrepreneurs.”

“Hospitality, culinary, food science and sport management offer a practical environment in our economy’s largest industry to apply the business and marketing skills learned through DECA. The combination of these skills can have a big career impact,” Deutsch continued. “Our minors in marketing, entrepreneurship and business administration offered by the LeBow College of Business allow students to continue building on their DECA business foundation as well."

DECA members continuing their studies at the Center of Hospitality and Sport Management will notice the “Drexel Difference” through, “hands-one experiential learning, meaningful six-month cooperative education experience, unparalleled advising, and a small family atmosphere within a comprehensive research university and a vibrant city.”
