DECA Featured in ACTE's Techniques Magazine

Former DECA National President, Morgan Thompson, and former Collegiate DECA National President, Elsa Tavares, were featured in the February issue of the Association for Career and Technical Education's (ACTE) Techniques magazine.

The article, written by DECA's high school division director, Christopher Young, sheds light on the unique experiences these two incredible leaders had while serving their Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO).

"Serving as the national president of DECA was easily the greatest honor I have had because I got to dedicate myself to serving the organization I love and make an impact on an international level," said Thompson.

The article also discusses how CTE programs are helping students achieve success in the classroom, as well as in college and future careers.

"I believe CTE and CTSOs are vehicles that drive students into college and careers with quantifiable, quality experiences that can be beneficial to com-panies across industries and the economy as a whole," said Tavares.
