FIDM Social Media to Host TweetUp with Project Runway Star and FIDM Alumnus
On Thursday, December 12, from 12:00-1:30pm PST, FIDM is hosting an online Q&A TweetUp with recent FIDM advanced fashion design alumnus, Bradon McDonald. McDonald was among the top five finalists of Lifetime’s 12th season of Project Runway.
Prior to attending FIDM, McDonald spent 14 years performing as a professional modern dancer in New York City with Mark Morris Dance Group. A mere 12 hours after performing his last show, he found himself at FIDM orientation with his focus on his future in fashion. As a leading competitor on the hit fashion show Project Runway, McDonald won four challenges and demonstrated his innovative approach to couture design with his signature fabric manipulation, embellishment and uncommon hand-sewing techniques.
Below, see the results of one of McDonald’s winning challenges, his design in advertisement for L’Oreal.
To participate in our virtual Q&A, be sure to follow @FIDM and @BradonPAUL and submit your questions using the hashtag #BradonatFIDM. Then check back at 12:00pm on December 12 to see if Bradon answers your questions!
