2013 DECA Innovations and Entrepreneurship Challenge Winners

DECA challenged its members to deliver an innovative business proposal via YouTube in the 2013 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Challenge.

This year’s challenge results were outstanding! Almost 30 teams, representing 14 associations, accepted the challenge and submitted their business concepts focused on themes such as environment sustainability, personal health and tourism.

Three finalist teams moved to the next round of competition at the Innovations and Entrepreneurship Conference this past weekend in Chicago, Ill., where they delivered a 30-minute presentation to a panel of judges and engaged in a 15-minute Q & A session. Although the competition was fierce, one team prevailed.

DECA is pleased to announce that Jessy Kang, Emily Chen and Simren Rai from Abbey Park DECA (Oakville, Ont.) are the winners of the 2013 Innovations and Entrepreneurship Challenge!
