2014 Professional Division Awards

From business and education leaders who dedicate years of service to administrators who advocate at every step, there are many outstanding individuals who make DECA the force that it is.

DECA Inc. proudly offers the Professional Division Awards to recognize these leaders for their continued service. Nominations for the 2014 awards are now open.

Association Administrator of the Year Award

Selected by their chartered associations, recipients of the Association Administrator of the Year Award contribute to student success through their support of DECA Inc. in their schools, colleges, districts, and communities. Recipients will receive their awards at their chartered association career development conferences. Based on division affiliation, they will also be recognized at either Collegiate DECA’s 53rd Annual International Career Development Conference in Washington, D.C., or DECA’s 68th Annual International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, Ga.

Outstanding Service Award

The Outstanding Service Award recognizes marketing or business education personnel whose significant contributions have furthered DECA Inc.’s mission for more than five years. Other candidates include marketing or business education personnel who have left the field but have contributed to DECA’s success for more than five years. Chartered associations will nominate candidates for consideration and recipients will receive their awards at DECA’s 2014 International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, Ga.

Honorary Life Membership Award

Honorary Life Membership is DECA’s most prestigious award and is typically awarded to one recipient per year. Candidates for this award include marketing and business education personnel who have significantly contributed to the success of DECA Inc. through a minimum of 20 years of service to the organization. Other individuals may be considered who are not marketing or business education personnel and have contributed DECA’s success for a minimum of five years, and from whom DECA may expect continued support of its activities. Chartered associations will nominate candidates for consideration and recipients will receive their awards at the DECA’s 2014 International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, Ga.
