#DECAAMC Makes a Muscle for MDA

Attendees of the 2013 DECA Association Management Conference were treated to a luncheon hosted by the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

MDA is proud to continue its 30 plus year partnership with DECA and Safeway. Working along with the national officers’ Movement, MDA and DECA continue to prepare the next generation of leaders to also community oriented.

Present at the luncheon was Sabrina Hughes, MDA’s division director for the east central states, and Carter Christensen, DECA national president.

"DECA has partnered with MDA for more than 30 years, which is why it's so important for association advisors to see the growing strength of our partnership," Carter noted. "Association advisors can really make a difference by motivating their chapters, advisors and members to become part of The Movement and show their support!"

Carter attended the taping of the MDA Show of Strength in California recently and shared some photos of his backstage experience. Make sure to tune into ABC on September 1, 2013, to watch the show and see the difference that DECA's involvement with MDA has made!

DECA would like to thank MDA, Safeway, Sabrina and Carter for helping to make today’s luncheon so special for all the conference attendees.
