DECA Alum Takes Career to Disney and Beyond
DECA alumni all share a common thread as they move away from their DECA chapters, and that is a successful and thriving career thanks in part to the experience and skills gained as DECA members. Dominick Clark from Louisiana DECA is no exception to this rule.
Dominick Clark was born and raised in Walker, La., and discovered his passion for business and marketing at a young age. He attended Walker High School in Walker, La., and joined DECA as soon as he could. His DECA experience was not only beneficial to his own skill set as a business professional, but Dominic left a lasting impression on Louisiana DECA as well. Dominic was awarded and named Mr. Louisiana DECA at the 2004 state conference.
Dominick graduated in the spring of 2004 and went on to attend Southern University and A&M College where he received a Bachelor of Science in marketing with a professional sales concentration.
He matriculated at Louisiana State University earning credits towards a Masters in Career and Development Education and a Masters of Business Administration.
From there, Dominick relocated to Orlando, Fla., to begin his career with The Walt Disney Company at just 25 years old. Having previously interned with The Walt Disney Company while in college, Dominic was able to return to the company for an advanced internship that lead to full time employment as a marketing and sales coordinator with Disney Youth Programs.
Then, in May of 2012, Dominic decided he wanted to take his marketing talent and passion in a different direction.
Dominick joined The Experience Christian Center under the leadership of Pastor Derrick L. McRae. Here, he began working diligently with the marketing and media department and today serves as the department director.
There's truly no goal unreachable when you have DECA on your side. Let Dominick's perseverance, dedication and positive attitude serve as an example to what can be accomplished when you put your mind to it.
