Make a Difference for MDA at the Finish Line/DECA Dash

The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is DECA’s most important social-business partner and has served on the National Advisory Board and Executive Committee since 1981.

Together, MDA and DECA have worked to:

  • Fund research to find treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy and other debilitating muscle diseases
  • Meet the special needs of young people and adults who suffer from debilitating muscle diseases
  • Utilize community service as a dynamic learning opportunity that supports classroom teaching, student achievement, and overall college and career readiness.

You can help make a difference for MDA by participating in the Finish Line/DECA Dash at the DECA International Career Development Conference on April 24, 2013! Proceeds benefit MDA and DECA’s scholarship fund, and this year you will have the opportunity to raise even more money for MDA! After you register for the dash, head over to http://www.mdaevent.org/DECADASH and ask your family and friends to donate to your favorite National Officer team! Participants who raise $100 or more will earn incentives from MDA!

Your participation in this special event really does make a difference! Meet Aggie Bohanon-Mullet, a child recently diagnosed with muscular dystrophy:

Be sure to register and start sharing your MDA donation page with family and friends. You can also join the Finish Line/DECA Dash Facebook event to get all the latest photos, news, updates and more about the race.
