Western Region Update, March 2013

“Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude.”

The chances of winning against the hundreds of other competitors at the DECA International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, Calif., might seem slim, but it’s important to remember these words by Zig Ziglar. You do not necessarily have to be a genius or marketing whiz to win at ICDC. If you remember to maintain your positive attitude, stay disciplined enough to keep training, and never give up, it just might be YOU standing on the stage with a trophy in your hands.

Congratulations to everyone who participated in DECA conferences these past couple of months! It takes a lot of hard work and determination, not to mention bravery to compete at DECA conferences. Although March seems like down time in the DECA world, this month is the opportunity to get ahead of your competition if you qualified for ICDC. With less than two months to go, I cannot wait to see the incredible skill and talent each and every one of you brings to Anaheim!
