King Philip DECA Attends The Ultimate DECA Power Trip in D.C.
This past weekend, King Philip DECA attended The Ultimate DECA Power Trip in the nation’s capital. The DECA members attended marketing and leadership workshops led by industry professionals from companies such as PricewaterhouseCooper, Hilton, AT&T, Men’s Wearhouse and more as well as DECA association action teams.
Chapter members also competed in a Team Decision Making event, where partners are given a realistic, problematic situation that they must present ideas to resolve the problem to their CEO (a judge). Eight teams from Massachusetts DECA received gold in this competition, and of those eight teams, King Philip DECA had five. King Philip congratulates its teams that received first place: the senior teams of Tory Atkins and Kristen Aucoin, McKenna May and Emily Harrington and Kellie Mahoney and Katherine Genesky; and the junior teams of Theresa Harvey and Emmy Lambalot and Nicole Lithway and Kayla McGhehey.
In addition to the business side of the conference, DECA members also toured the city and visited the many monuments. The chapter bonded over a scavenger hunt on the National Mall with DECA members from North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Connecticut and Virginia, to name a few.
