3 Ways to Get #CTEMonth Started

February means a few things but nothing is more important to DECA members than celebrating Career and Technical Education Month!

CTE Month is a celebration of all the amazing achievements students accomplish when they participate in CTE and Career and Technical Student Organizations, like DECA.

There are a few ways you can celebrate #CTEMonth in your chapter, including completing DECA’s Advocacy Campaign, but to get you started, here are three easy ways to get the month going:

  1. Get the official CTE Month cover photo to share on Facebook and Twitter.
  2. Go ‘like’ Career and Technical Student Organizations on Facebook and show your support for all CTSOs.
  3. Get ready to advocate by checking out all the great resources DECA has gathered for you to use this month.

Whether you’re planning to spend CTE Month advocating to your school principal, your school board, your city mayor or your congressional representative, DECA just wants to see you spreading the word about CTE and CTSOs. Don't forget to earn recognition for your efforts through DECA's Advocacy Campaign!

All month long, be sure to share your CTE Month activities on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram by using #CTEMonth. DECA will be posting and sharing its favorite tweets and pictures from you on its social media pages – will yours be picked?

Whatever you do this month, remember to have fun and use CTE Month as an opportunity to share your own unique DECA story with others. No one else can explain the impact CTE and DECA has had in your life better than you!

Happy CTE Month!
