2017-2018 District Event Instructional Areas Announced

For the past few years, DECA has been posting online the primary instructional area(s) assessed in each of the district level scenarios.

The intent is to help advisors and members prepare for district competitions more effectively. District competitions often begin early in the school year before advisors have had opportunities to cover all of the instructional areas in the curriculum.

By announcing the instructional areas in advance, members can focus on the instructional areas they’ll be assessed on at their first level of competition each school year.

Instructional areas for state/provincial and the DECA International Career Development Conference competition will not be announced prior to those competitions.

Below are the 2017-2018 District Scenario Primary Instructional Areas:
