Having Fun for a Good Cause at the #CDECAICDC Game Night

The #CDECAICDC Game Night at the 2017 Collegiate DECA International Career Development Conference was a huge success amongst students.

Many enjoyed the opportunity to network amongst peers without the case study or prepared events competition emphasis, but a shift of friendly competition of bean bag toss, ping pong, or who would make the Jenga tower fall over first.

Let’s admit we are all in DECA because we love the thrill of competing! Game Night was more than a fun competition though, it was an opportunity to support DECA’s Scholarship Fund and the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). All proceeds from the #CDECAICDC Game Night are going to these two worthy causes.

Here’s what a few students had to say about their time at the #CDECAICDC Game Night:

“This is so much fun. I love to spend time with my friends. With competitions happening all week long it is nice to just enjoy each other’s company before we go into full competition mode.”

“As a DECA family we always join together to support causes that are close to our hearts.”

“It makes me excited to see that we all come together for a great cause.”

“The music, the laughs, and competitive feel all in one room is what DECA is all about.”

If you missed Wednesday night’s game night, you can still help support the DECA Scholarship Fund and MDA during Saturday morning’s Preliminary Awards Session by bringing your spare change to donate during a Miracle Minute!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the #CDECAICDC Game Night!
