Top 5 Underrated Things to Bring to #DECAICDC
Opening ceremony is only one week away, and over 19,000 DECA members are looking forwards to a weekend full of excitement in sunny Anaheim.
1. Hand sanitizer
If imagining all of the bacteria on plane seats, handrails and door handles makes your skin crawl, hand sanitizer is a non-negotiable for ICDC. Take some hand sanitizer with you in your purse, backpack or man-bag (hey, we’re not judging) to make sure that you don’t get sick.
None of us want to be doing our homework right across the street from Disneyland, but you should definitely pack some so that you’re not drowning in make-up work when you get back to school.
I know what you’re all thinking right now, but hear me out: crocs are the ultimate casual shoe to bring to #DECAICDC. They’re waterproof, great shower shoes, and will hold up through Disneyland and Universal Studios exploring.
We’re all familiar with the dreaded ankle chafe that we have to deal with after every conference. Pro tip: stick some band-aids where your shoes chafe before the blisters even happen so you’re not limping around Anaheim.
We’re going to Anaheim to get some DECA glass, not sunburns! Throw in some travel sized sunscreen into your carry-on for sun protection. Stick sunscreens are a leak-free option to pack and will make sure you’re not worrying about a bright red burn during your presentation or interview.
